Kenya to Tanzania
17:10
4h30am A man voice screaming on the camp: "aaaaahhhhh. Please help, please help me..."
"oh my God! Cyril, someone is getting killed... What do we do?"
Reminder: We are in Africa..! Camping near by a Masai village in the steppe, where hyenas running around at night and snakes are domesticated.
It was very loud and scary as the man was sounding scared and in pain. After that scream, nothing, was the man dead already? Tents start to unzip, people walking around try to locate were it was coming from and what it was. Then the calm came back as everybody went to sleep again. In the morning we were told that was a guy screaming in his dreams, wrong malaria tablets, the kind of that gives you bad hallucinogenic dreams.
We learnt quite a few things this morning: 1- never to take this malaria tablet. 2- how to rape up the tent. 3- Never forget your toilet paper when you go to the bathroom!
We are now on our way to a village where the tribes comes originally from Mozambique, we will see in particular the tribe called Roca, they are the ones making paintings and carved wood objects.
The village had the help of a Dutch organisation, but is now totally self efficient. They have a great system of irrigation from which all the farmers benefits for free. The only obligation is for them to clear the canals, no clean canals, no water.
Fives guides from the village are with us, they showing us the way of life of the local people and as well all the art and crafts. It's nearly the end of the visit. After a meal cooked by the local and taken in a remote part in the middle of a banana plantation ( it was as George says "fantabulous") we head to a kind garden.
