After a couple of days spent in La Paz, our next stop over will be Copacabana, or as everyone knows it better: the lake Titicaca.
We found there our best hotel so far: on top of the village, view on the lake and typical lovely room with fire place; we couldn't ask for more.
Thinking "ahead", we go to see the receptionist as to arrange our next day on el Isla del Sol, and our bus ticket to our next destination: Puno in Peru, village just after the border where villagers live on floating islands. The receptionist start looking at us very embarrassed trying to explain us that we will have to be patient; as there is no way to cross the border. For political reason, the border got closed around 10 days ago, and more than 800 trucks are completely blocked there... Our big problem: we only have 15 days left, so much still to do, and a flight to catch in Lima. To resume: it's panic time!!

Everyone is telling us to get a flight ticket, which is absolutely out of order, the price being insane. Thankfully, after a little bit of though we decided to get a new route: going back to La Paz, and from there crossing back into Chile, and then into Peru... A few days lost!

Our first priority: enjoying our day in the Isla del Sol.
We visited the whole island, which include a good 3 hours trekking from south to north. The landscape is incredible, with the colour of the rocks changing so fast, contrasting with the pure clear water from the lake.

And the informations from our guide are coming so fast: explaining us the importance of the island for the Inca people as a pelerinage site , the magnetism that you should feel when passing the first door of the ruin Chinkana, the position of the temple with the cosmos, the position of the lost city under water... We cannot even remember all of it!
